TMZ reveals that singer Toni Braxton and her Best Friend, rapper Birdman, divorced two days after they were married. The newly surfaced documents revealed that the couple got married in a secretive ceremony on August 8, 2024, and they divorced on August 10, 2024.

The court filings obtained by TMZ reveal the wedding date as part of Toni Braxton's divorce petition, which she filed on August 10, 2024, as the marriage was seen by her legal team as "irretrievably broken".

But surprisingly, despite initiating divorce proceedings, Braxton later withdrew her petition after 5 months, precisely in January 2025, and Birdman accepted the dismissal, which means the couple has resulted in staying married.

The couple had been quietly married for 8 months before the divorce was filed. The singer, 57, and rapper, 56, married on Aug. 8, 2024. The pair are only identified by their initials "T.B." Toni Braxton and "B.W." for Bryan Christopher Williams in the documents.

Both artists have yet to respond publicly to the revelations. Repeated efforts to reach them or their representatives have so far been met with silence. Before this revelation by TMZ, Toni Braxton had always described the rumour of her relationship with Birdman as "FAKENEWS" on her Instagram page. This shows rumours sometimes can turn out to be true.

Birdman, who is also co-founder of Cash Money Records with his brother, Ronald "Slim" Williams, first proposed to Braxton in February 2018. He purchased an extravagant $1 million engagement ring for the singer, along with other luxurious gifts.
