Nigerian media personality and Nollywood Actress Toke Makinwa has said on her podcast, Toke Moments, that she wouldn't mind at the stage she is now to be a second, third, fourth or fifth wife.

The 40 year old In her statement, said, “As independent women, do you think that we have glamourized this notion of being independent?. Yeah. It’s tough, I won’t lie. Let me break it down. Forget the cameras. At this point in my life, if I have the opportunity to be the second, third, fourth or fifth wife, I will take it.”

 The Nollywood superstar stated that she needs a man that she can lean on sometimes.

She said, “Let me tell you what the biggest thing for me is, I am the boss everywhere and that could be tiring. You feel like you need someone to lean on. Someone that could decide what is for dinner. Must it be me?”

Toke Makinwa was previously married to businessman Maje Ayida. They got married in 2014, but their marriage ended in 2017.

Reports have it that in November 2024, that she had tied the knot with her rumoured longtime partner, Farouk Umar, but the actress debunked the reports.

She revealed that they were just “best friends” and that the wedding that was alleged was her Thanksgiving event to appreciate God's doings.
