Monday and Tuesday Public Holiday as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr

On Monday, March 31 and Tuesday, April 1 has being declared public Holiday by the Federal Government in celebration of this year's Muslim Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

The Public Holiday was made known by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo in a statement on Wednesday 26th March, 2025 by the Ministry's permanent secretary, Magdalene Ajani in Abuja.

The minister used the opportunity to congratulate all Muslims for the successful completion of the fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.

Eid-el-Fitr festival is celebrated by all Muslims after observing Ramadan fasting for 29 or 30 days.
