The Enugu State Gaming and Lotto Commission recently awarded the winner of its logo design competition, Kenneth Chibuikem Nwangah, with a cash prize of ₦200,000. The presentation ceremony took place at the Commission's headquarters in Enugu, where the Executive Secretary, Prince Arinze Arum, highlighted the significance of the initiative.

Prince Arum explained that the competition aimed to create a logo that embodies the Commission's mission of promoting fairness, transparency, innovation, and responsible gaming. Additionally, it served as a platform to engage youth and creative minds, empowering them to contribute meaningful and lasting ideas.

Expressing his admiration for the participants, Arum noted, “The response to the competition was extraordinary, with over 1,000 unique and impressive entries submitted. Selecting a winner was a challenging task for our panel of judges, which included experts from various fields. However, Kenneth’s design stood out for its ability to capture the Commission’s essence while reflecting Enugu State’s heritage.”

The winning logo, according to Arum, is more than a visual symbol—it represents the Commission’s values of trust, responsibility, and innovation. “This logo will serve as a beacon of our commitment to fostering a safe and transparent gaming environment for all stakeholders,” he added.

Arum also commended all participants for showcasing their talents, underscoring the abundance of creativity within the state.

In his acceptance speech, Kenneth Nwangah expressed gratitude and joy for winning the competition. “I learned about the competition from a friend and decided to give it my best shot. It’s a privilege to see my efforts recognized. While I emerged the winner, I believe all participants are winners for stepping out of their comfort zones and exploring their creativity,” he said.
