Israeli precision targeting top Hamas and Hezbollah commanders has yielded a great impact as Israeli airstrikes in northern Lebanon killed Hamas commander known as Saeed Attallah Ali, his wife, and their two daughters at their home in the Beddawi camp near Tripoli on Saturday. This strike has confirmed that Israelis are targeting and taking out top Hamas and Hezbollah commanders who can carry out airstrikes against Israel
Israel has broadened its military operations in Lebanon, moving beyond the border areas and targeting regions further inland to reach their perceived targets.
Explosions were reported early Saturday in the southern suburbs of Beirut. Before the strikes, residents in Dahiyeh, a Hezbollah stronghold, were reportedly warned, though the number of civilians who evacuated remains unclear.
The escalation follows Israeli strikes on Friday that targeted Hezbollah’s intelligence headquarters in southern Beirut, claiming to have killed senior military figures. Additionally, Israeli forces struck a mosque near Salah Hospital Ghandour in south Lebanon, which they claimed was being used as a command centre by Hezbollah.
