Galatasaray’s deputy chairman, İbrahim Hatipoğlu, has expressed the club’s desire to keep Victor Osimhen on a permanent basis.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray from Napoli on a season-long loan earlier this month. There were rumors that his contract included a clause allowing him to leave for another club in January. However, Hatipoğlu has denied these reports, stating that Osimhen will stay with Galatasaray until June.
“Osimhen leaving in January is not an option,” Hatipoğlu told NTVSpor. “We are even planning for him to play next season. Osimhen is committed to Galatasaray until June. Talking about his departure is just a distraction. He shows his dedication to Galatasaray in every match.”
Hatipoğlu also mentioned that Osimhen is happy at Galatasaray and it would be ideal for him to stay longer. “A player performs best where he is happy. He has a contract with us until the end of the season and is very happy to be here. We should focus on how he can continue with us in the future. There’s no need to discuss his departure during the break,” he said.
The 25-year-old has already made an impact, providing two assists in his first two appearances for Galatasaray.
