A statement from X stated what steps the kwara state Government has taken to minimize the biting cost of the fuel hike by the Tinubu regime.

The statement reads below:

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Thursday has ordered the prompt dispatch of free buses throughout various areas of the metropolis to facilitate smoother transportation for commuters.

AbdulRazaq’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, announcement that the newly introduced buses are intended to alleviate the impact of the recent increase in fuel prices on the residents of the city.

He said,

“The buses are to take people to the most central destinations free of charge.

“We hope that persons attending the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) job placement interviews will find this helpful, particularly in the metropolis,”

”Different government stakeholders are reviewing the situation with public good as a top priority.

“The inconveniences are regretted, and we are confident that things will ease as soon as possible,” the statement quoted the governor as saying.

I believe other state Governors should follow this example to alleviate this high cost in transportation as a result of the fuel increase.
