Ogun State and Nigerian Police Face Damning Claims of Abuse in U.S. Court Ruling


A U.S. court has raised serious allegations against the Ogun State government and Nigerian police, claiming they committed human rights violations against officials of Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Co. Limited.

Court documents reveal that these officials faced beatings, starvation, and were arrested at gunpoint. 

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled on August 9, 2024, in a case concerning a contract dispute linked to the seizure of Nigerian presidential aircraft by Zhongshan.
