DSS and NIA receives new DG


Tinubu appoints new Director General of NIA (Nigeria National Intelligence Agency) and DSS (Department of State Service). The new DG's are from the North and West, respectively.

The new officials are Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed will head the NIA while Adeola Ajayi will take over from Yusuf Bichi of the DSS.

The newly appointed Director-General of Nigeria's National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed, has an impressive track record in the foreign service. 

Since joining the NIA in 1995, he has served in various capacities, culminating in his promotion to the rank of Director and his subsequent appointment as the head of the Nigerian mission to Libya, North Korea, Pakistan, Sudan and at the State House in Abuja.

The newly appointed Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Mr. Adeola O. Ajayi, has risen through the ranks to attain his current post of Assistant Director-General of the Service. Prior to his appointment, he had served as State Director in several states, including Bauchi, Enugu, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Kogi.

The President has charged the new security chiefs to work diligently to reposition the NIA and DSS for better results.
