AVIDUSA Urges Nigerian Government to Release Nnamdi Kanu and Restore Regional Autonomy


The American Veterans of Igbo Descent (AVIDUSA) have issued a strong warning to Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu, demanding the immediate release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). 

They advocate for the restoration of regional autonomy as per the 1960/63 constitutional framework, arguing that this would address Nigeria's pressing socio-economic and security challenges.

AVIDUSA's statement, signed by President Dr. Sylvester Onyia, emphasizes that failing to resolve these issues could lead to instability, reiterating Kanu's previous demands for infrastructure improvements in the South-East and a referendum on Biafran status if grievances remain unaddressed

  1. If the government wish people of Biafra to live happily they could have listen to their request and sit down to resolve the issue in order to avoid hurting others that always wanted to live happily with others
