Peter Mbah to build flyover to ease traffic at chris chemist

Peter Mbah

The Peter Mbah Government in Enugu State has issued a 14-day relocation notice to businessmen plying their trade within the railway axis of the Red Cross and the environ to enable the Government build a flyover bridge that will ease the gridlock of huge traffic along that route.

If you live in Enugu you can tell the level of the holdup on that route, but the businessmen trading in the affected areas protest the method the Government is handling the issue, a 14-day notice on a property that is legally owed and has done business for decades is unaccepted. And they urge the Government to at least provide an alternative location.

After their meeting in a statement signed by David Johnson Anayo, Clement Madichie, Emeka Ezenwa, George Ibekendu, and Onyebuchi Mgbemene, they said,

"As of the time some of us acquired the land, the entire place was a bush area housing kidnappers and all sorts of criminals. We put in our resources to develop the area and in the process got rid of the criminals operating there."

Insisting that the 14-day ultimatum to remove their business buildings was unfair, they said it would have been different if the government had provided them with an alternative place of business, which they could have considered.
