Elon Musk Visits Israel, Condemns Hamas, and Signs Satellite Deal with Netanyahu

Elon Musk

Elon Musk, the founder of X and SpaceX, visited Israel and met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

They toured a kibbutz that was attacked by Hamas militants in October and watched a video of the atrocities. Musk condemned the actions of Hamas and said Israel tries to avoid killing civilians.

He also said there is a need to stop the propaganda that incites violence. Musk also agreed to operate SpaceX’s Starlink satellites in Gaza with Israeli approval.

The trip came amid criticism of Musk for allowing antisemitic content on X and supporting a conspiracy theory. Hamas's October 7 attack on Israel has seen the rise of antisemitic content which has surged more than 900% in recent times on the platform.

Musk has also been on the wrong side with the White House for indicating support for an antisemitic conspiracy theory on X, what U.S. officials called an "abhorrent promotion of antisemitic and racist hate."
