This region has been disputed for decades, and despite a ceasefire agreement in 2020, Azerbaijan has continued to violate it and use starvation as a weapon against the Armenians.
Kim and Dr. Esrailian say that the international community has been largely silent and complicit in this humanitarian crisis, as some countries depend on Azerbaijan for oil and trade. They call on Biden to cut off foreign aid to Azerbaijan and boycott any events hosted by the country, such as the 2022 Formula One Grand Prix.
Kim also urges her fans and followers to join her in signing a petition to demand justice for the Armenians and recognition of their right to self-determination. She says that she does not want to have to tell her children about another genocide in their history, and hopes that Biden will act before it is too late.
