The Enugu State government has expressed its gratitude to the British government for opening a visa center in the state capital, Enugu. The visa center, which was inaugurated on Monday, September 11, 2023, will serve the people of Enugu State and the South-East region who wish to apply for UK visas.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, issued a statement on behalf of the state governor, Peter Mbah, commending the UK High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr. Richard Montgomery, for fulfilling one of the requests made by the governor during his visit to Enugu in June.

According to the statement, the Enugu State government is delighted and satisfied with the opening of the visa center, as it will enhance the economic and cultural relations between Enugu State and the UK. The statement also noted that the visa center will provide a convenient and accessible platform for the people of the South-East region to file their visa applications without having to travel far.
