Donald Trump Flaunts His Weight Loss in NYC Amid Legal Woes

Donald Trump, the former US president and possible 2024 contender, looked noticeably thinner as he arrived in New York City on Monday, September 4, to spend the night at his Trump Tower penthouse.

The 77-year-old had spent the day at his Bedminster golf club in New Jersey, where he met with about 70 members of the Bikers for Trump group, who showed their loyalty and admiration for him.

Trump, who was wearing a suit and tie, appeared to have lost some weight since his last official White House physical, which was released in June 2020. According to his booking information at Fulton County jail in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was indicted on 91 criminal counts, Trump weighed 215 pounds and stood 6ft 3 tall.

That means that Trump has dropped nearly 30 pounds since his White House days, which could be attributed to the immense pressure he is facing from his legal battles in New York City.

Trump is facing both criminal and civil charges in Manhattan, related to his alleged tax fraud and hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels. Both cases had significant developments last week, and Trump may have been in New York to consult with his lawyers.

In the criminal case, led by Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg, Trump’s trial date was set for March 24, but it could clash with a federal case of election interference that starts on March 4.

Despite his troubles, Trump seemed upbeat and grateful for his supporters, whom he thanked on social media for their backing.

Trump’s visit to New York was a rare occasion, as he has mostly avoided the city where he was born and built his empire. He was last seen at Trump Tower on May 31.
