Delta State Arrests Over 100 Individuals Suspected of Same-Sex Wedding

In a recent development that has sparked discussions, the Delta State Police Command has apprehended more than 100 individuals believed to be involved in a same-sex wedding ceremony at a local hotel. 

The announcement was made on Facebook, where the police stated their intention to publicly parade the suspects.
 
“Delta State Command has arrested over a hundred gay suspects in a hotel carrying out a gay wedding ceremony. We will be going live shortly on Facebook to parade the said suspects,” it captioned.

This incident sheds light on the ongoing challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community in Nigeria, where anti-gay laws have been in place since 2014. The arrest follows a pattern of similar actions in the country, highlighting the complex situation surrounding LGBTQ+ rights in Nigeria."
