Alsatian Dog kills baby injures mother in Osun State

In Osun State, the authorities have initiated a search for the individuals responsible for two Alsatian dogs that allegedly assaulted a nursing mother referred to as Mummy Basira. Tragically, the attack resulted in the demise of her infant daughter and caused injuries to Mummy Basira herself. This incident occurred in the Halleluyah Area of Ido-Osun on Wednesday, August 30.

According to accounts, Mummy Basira was strolling with her baby secured to her back when the Alsatian dogs purportedly leaped out from their owner's residence and launched an attack. As she attempted to protect her approximately five-month-old baby, the dogs targeted the nursing mother. Bystanders in the vicinity, powerless to intervene, observed the distressing scene unfold as the aggressive dogs executed the attack. Regrettably, the baby lost her life, and the dogs also inflicted injuries upon the mother.

The spokesperson for the Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, verified the occurrence and stated that active measures are underway to apprehend the owners of the dogs. Opalola emphasized that the police command is committed to ensuring justice prevails in this particular case.
